Upgrading from JetBackup 4 to JetBackup 5

If you are looking to upgrade from JetBackup 4 to JetBackup 5, have no worries. We have provided an UPGRADE GUIDE in our documentation to help get you started. CLICK HERE to visit our documentation. 

Please Note: We have made it possible to run JetBackup 4 and JetBackup 5 concurrently under the same license. It is not REQUIRED to uninstall Jetbackup 4 before installing JetBackup 5. However, if you would like to remove JetBackup 4 and leave JetBackup 5 untouched just run the following command:

yum remove jetbackup-core

This command will remove the current installation of JetBackup 4 completely.
