JetBackup Keeps Getting Installed (cPanel/WHM)

Occasionally, users uninstall JetBackup 4 and find it reinstalled on their cPanel server after some time. There are nightly cPanel updates that perform checks to see if there is an active JetBackup License. If it finds that the license is active but uninstalled, it will install the software automatically.

In order to prevent this from happening, cPanel suggests creating a disable file by running the following command.

touch /var/cpanel/disable_auto_jb

By creating this file, the cPanel update will skip the JetBackup license check and as a result, not reinstall JetBackup.
