Google Drive Restore and Download Issues

Google Drive has recently added a new Virus Scanner into their system that automatically scans files/folders being downloaded from Google Drive. When JetBackup is restoring a backup, it must first download the necessary files/folders from Google Drive and can run into errors reported from Google Drive. In the restore log, this will appear as a blank ERROR like the following:

[06 October 2021 09:35:02 AM +0200] Downloading requested files from backup destination to local...
[06 October 2021 09:35:03 AM +0200] Downloading file jetbackup_1_4_60c1ce1582abfe3c8d11d222/user/snap.2021-09-27.024607/user.tar.gz...FAILED
[06 October 2021 09:35:25 AM +0200] [ERROR]
[06 October 2021 09:35:25 AM +0200] Executing onAlert Hooks...

The error appears as blank because JetBackup is not aware of the new errors being reported. We have found that in these cases the error is as follows:

"reason": "cannotDownloadAbusiveFile",
"message": "This file has been identified as malware or spam and cannot be downloaded."

In order to work around this issue, please try downloading the snap manually from Google Drive in order to manually accept the warning. You can then follow our instructions on how to restore an account manually from our Documentation.
